I'm a couple psychotherapist. I work with couples on their relationships. I have postgraduate qualifications and specialist training in couple psychotherapy. I'm passionate about working with couples to help them resolve their relationship issues and conflicts. I'm also an experienced individual psychotherapist. My consulting rooms are conveniently located in central London. I also see couples who live outside London, or outside the UK, via webcam and secure software. Alongside my private practice I'm a visiting clinician at Tavistock Relationships in London (the world's leading organisation for training in psychoanalytic couple therapy), where I'm also a tutor, and have a role in the evaluation of trainee couple therapists.
I see couples and individuals at my central London consulting rooms. I also provide a secure online therapy service (via webcam), for couples and individuals who live outside London or outside the UK, or for those who frequently travel.
Relationships are really important. That is why couples begin their relationships with high hopes and dreams. But life doesn’t always go smoothly, and the partners can face many challenges during their relationship together. Some of these challenges can be – moving in together, commitment and marriage, arrival of a baby, differences over child-rearing, balancing being together and being separate, lack of quality time together, balancing work and relationship, long-distance relationships, trust issues, betrayal and affairs, jealousy, dealing with conflict, communication problems, differences in desire, unsatisfying sex life, lack of emotional intimacy, financial worries, illness, depression, children leaving home, facing retirement, growing older together. Relationship difficulties can have a negative effect on every aspect of the partners’ lives, their happiness and general well-being. I work with couples who have been really struggling, in conflict, or feeling confused and stuck. If communication has broken down, the partners can often feel isolated, lost and sad, or angry and overwhelmed. All couples go through testing times, and deserve help. That’s why I’m passionate about working with couples whatever their difficulty or conflict. I work with couples to help them understand what troubles them, to improve communication between them, and to help them to successfully deal with the issues and road-blocks that get in the way of happier and more supportive relating. With couple therapy, the couple and each partner can come through their difficulties much strengthened by the experience. You are welcome to contact me to check my availability for an initial consultation. At your consultation I will discuss your concerns with both of you, and give in-depth feedback on your relationship. I will also discuss your options, including whether couple therapy might be helpful for you.
I have postgraduate qualifications and specialist training in couple therapy. Additionally I am trained in the Parents as Partners modality, to help couples who disagree over child-rearing. I’m trained in helping couples manage the transition into retirement together. I have training in working with high-conflict couples. Alongside my private practice I'm a visiting clinician at Tavistock Relationships (the world’s leading organisation for training in couple psychoanalytic psychotherapy), where I'm also a tutor, and have a role in the evaluation of trainee couple therapists. I’m a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and the Tavistock Institute of Medical Psychology.
